What if something beautiful revealed something deeply ugly?

In 2017, three design students at the National Taiwan University of Arts created “100% Polluted Water Popsicles” to confront water pollution in Taiwan.

The team collected contaminated water from 100 locations across the country — rivers, beaches, ports and drainage systems — and froze each sample into the shape of a popsicle, capturing the debris and pollution within it.

The samples were then preserved in clear polyester resin, transforming environmental contamination into objects that appear almost beautiful at first glance.

100 places. 100 samples. 100 portraits of what we leave behind.

The project later gained international attention, with one work appearing in Vogue Taiwan in 2022, photographed by Zhong Lin.

Art can make the invisible visible. 🌎💧

Today we remember a pioneer and visionary, Ted Turner, whose impact on conservation, media and philanthropy changed the world. Ted was the original super hero for the planet. His legacy lives on through his family, his work, and everyone he inspired to care more deeply about the Earth.

We filmed this moment at his 80th birthday, when Art Loves Earth was just born. We will always be grateful to @lauraturnerseydel who became one of our first sponsors through @captainplanetfdn and helped make our first mission possible. And thank you Ted, for the legacy that helped inspire all of us. Rest in paradise.

In the Abu Dhabi desert, artist @jimdenevan carved a mandala of 448 sand pyramids, spiraling outward in perfect geometric harmony. A 1-km-wide meditation on scale, patience, and the beauty of Earth’s natural forms.

At night, 1,000 solar lanterns breathe light across the dunes—turning the land into a living sculpture.

Denevan also created the largest artwork on Earth, stretching 18.5 km across a desert landscape. His work reminds us that art can honor the planet, not take from it. 🌍✨ via @doesartwork

Ever wonder what life looks like through a bug’s eyes? Photographer Takuya Ishiguro (@c_s_b.t.13) captures the strange and stunning world of insects around his home in Japan using a custom-modified camera with a magnifying lens to reveal every wild, glistening detail.

There’s beauty in the miniature world if you look close enough.

🌿🎥 Our 6th film from our #ArtLOVESFiji expedition showcases the Food Forest Project, an inspiring reforestation initiative led by @tokoriki_island_resort.

This project is all about sustainable food planting in Fiji’s villages and schools—teaching kids and local communities how to grow fruit, vegetables, and income-producing plants. 🌱🍍

Beyond providing healthy food options, this initiative improves air quality and creates new income opportunities by allowing locals to sell surplus harvests back to the resorts. A beautiful cycle of sustainability in action! ♻️💚

Our fourth film of the #ArtLOVESFiji project takes us to Somo Somo village where we participated in womens and childrens empowerment activities with the locals. @artlovesearth donated new clothes, supplies and aqua shoes for the local women harvesters.

We also supported the Sustainable Nama Harvesting Program, a women’s empowerment partnership with @namafiji that supports the local women as their primary income source. The program generates a new income source to compliment that of the traditional village system and safeguard an important natural resource in a pristine environment.
